Professional Supervision
The current climate of the 21st century is complex, ever-changing, anxiety ridden, and honestly… chaotic.
To survive, counsellors need a place where they can be themselves, feel confident in the work they do, self-reflect, and feel supported in their emotionally demanding role as a professional.
The purpose of supervision is to gain confidence and competency in your practice.
I primarily work with Social Workers and Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC’s) in private practice settings.

What to Expect
-
Client case review, resolution of ethical issues, and opportunities for deep self-reflection are all central to our work together. We will explore your practice through the lens of your values, assumptions, and context. I offer support with charting and documentation, guidance on therapeutic interventions and approaches, and collaborative problem-solving around challenging client situations. We can also focus on navigating boundaries and therapeutic relationships, building confidence and reducing self-doubt, and exploring burnout, compassion fatigue, and long-term sustainability in the profession. This space also supports developing skills in confrontation and courage, while intentionally celebrating your growth, strengths, and successes.
-
A professional supervision agreement will be provided as a document to ensure SASW Continuing Education credit is granted.
-
I value relationship building, collaboration, and the belief that all knowledge is meaningful. This space centers authenticity, vulnerability, and curiosity over judgment, where mistakes are expected and growth is shared. Together, we challenge dominant beliefs, explore context, and honour lived experience. In emotionally demanding work, your humanity is not something to exile… it is essential.

Mistakes are a normal and inevitable part of being a counsellor, even though many of us have been taught to fear them. You may have had experiences in supervision or the workplace where mistakes were met with criticism, leaving you feeling unsupported or even incompetent. In a profession that quietly pressures us to be “perfect” humans, this can create a deep sense of anxiety—despite the fact that we teach our clients the opposite. The truth is, we are human too: we are messy, we stumble, and we learn as we go. Growth in this field requires space to reflect, process, and repair. I offer a judgment-free environment where mistakes are met with curiosity, not criticism. I also make mistakes, and I believe that embracing vulnerability is a skill, one that takes courage to develop. It is through that vulnerability that we grow into more grounded, authentic, and effective counsellors.
-
A contract will be created in our first session together. It will go over confidentiality and payment policy. It is also a chance for us to collaborate on how you’d like to receive feedback and expectations we have of each other.

Use your insurance to cover sessions or contact your accountant to discuss using the receipt provided as a business expense. I accept E-Transfers only.
